I arrived at the airport terminal at 11:15 AM - no checked luggage. From that time and taking the connecting bus, going through the absurdly long line at Hertz counter, limited number and inept staff, I managed to get my car at 2:20 PM!!! The car was a piece of junk, it had damages all over, it was dirty and stinking. When put to the road, it was pulling to the right side and engine making an unbearable rattling noise. This is not the standard that I am used to enjoy when using your services.
Hertz is the absolute WORST! They left me stranded in an unknown town all by MYSELF and DID NOT help me whatsoever!!! They rented me a car that was faulty and was not properly serviced and maintained and gave me mechanical issues about 3 hours into my trip. I was literally given the run around from their Emergency Roadside assistance and their customer service from the second the car left me on the side of the road until the NEXT day where I had no choice but to FIND MY OWN WAY HOME without ZERO assistance from Hertz. This company DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY. All they care about is money. I was told so many different things and never given a straight forward answer or solution to any of my questions or problems. I never received an exchange of vehicles, i remained alone and stranded in an unsafe town, and ONLY got home by Gods miracle of actually running into someone i knew who gave me a ride back home. If it wasnt for this person who gave me a ride, WHO KNOWS how or when i wouldve gotten home. I have never had such a horrible experience with any type of company before.... Do not trust Hertz. Please, choose Budget, enterprise, or Avis when you need to rent a car. Hertz is the worst. Hertz will charge you up the ass for your rental, then give you an unreliable and unserviced vehcile, then leave you stranded, then make it seem like it was your fault for all of it, then NEVER actually help you with an exchange of vehicle or a way to NOT be stranded. I will NEVER EVER trust this company again. and you should not either.
Did you know that it's still possible to get a car in 2017 that lacks cruise control? I found this out the hard way by renting through Hertz. I also got a flat tire which Hertz Roadside Assistance said they'd pay to fix; however, the Hertz representative on the phone made a big hassle over paying for a $13 fix. At least the staff at the ABQ Sunport rental facility was friendly, professional & helpful.
Janice was fantastic and provided a smooth experience selecting a car. She was even nice enough to assist me with a bag to the car (since the rental building did not offer carts). She also provided me with great recommendations for Albuquerque and my time I'd be spending here.
not a single helpful representative. Called once and they redirected me to a scam phone number that spoke nothing more than random ads for over 20 minutes. Wanted to add one more day to our reservation (pick up a day ahead). Nobody wanted to help. I tried calling Priceline, they directed he there again. Called to talk to this rude lady who was shouting at me for asking something for the second time which I did not hear clearly the first time. I was being as polite as I could. It seemed that all they wanted to do was to hang up the phone as quickly as possible. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. FEEL HUMILIATED
