Dude, it's Best Buy. What guy doesn't like this place?? Great central location and a big selection of different items. Don't forget to price match if you find a better deal on the same item(s)!!
So I hadn't been inside of an actual Best Buy in YEARS! I feel like a lot has changed since the last time I was here. For example, most of the sections are very hands-on, focusing on the user experience for most items that they are selling. They had an entire section of Apple Products which I liked with knowledgable sales members to answer all of my quesitons.
I attempted to buy a laptop computer today that was advertised on their website. It claimed to have options yet when I went to the store to purchase it, it was a bait and switch situation. They falsely advertised the product and when I asked to speak to a manager about it, he said it was not their problem. He gave me a number to call that gave me the runaround. I wasted my afternoon dealing with people that basically did not care to make things correct in any way, shape, or form. Stay away from this store. They will try to trick you to spend more money that they have advertised. It appears their other reviews are from employees too. Look at yelp. You will get their true rating. One and a half stars!!
Came in with the intent of purchasing a high-end lap top. Took 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge my presence. What I expressed interest in wasn’t in stock and would have to be ordered. I’ll shop online direct or through Amazon. Way to go after sales, Best Buy.
We bought a GE wall oven from Best Buy in Albuquerque. They charged us a $199.00 fee for installation but said we could get up to $300.00 back for install charges from the GE "Make it Fit" program. The installer was great and only charged us $40.00 extra for the install. He had to do extra work so I gave him $100.00 to be nice and thought I could get my money back through the GE "Make It Fit" install guarantee like Best Buy said I could. It's my fault for not reading the fine print but GE requires a photo of the old appliance before they can do the rebate. I did not do this and the installer did not mention it. I went back to Best Buy to see if I could at least get some of my money back on the install because I did not take a photo of my old appliance. They just laughed at me and said "should have read the fine print." The manager just brushed me off as well. I'm a 68 year old 80% disabled vet and will NOT be dealing with Best Buy again. I was taken for a ride and they thought it was funny. Whatever happened to being nice to cash customers?
The only thing that I thought was odd was there was only one aisle to check out. So the check-out process took a little longer than I expected. But everyone who helped me that day was very helpful :-)
