Good local pet store, most of the staff is really helpful. But I've had hipster service here too so I it's a hit or miss. But have a good selection of food and are willing to order stuff if not on hand.
I only go to Clark's for all of my animal and aquatic pet needs. These men and women are consummate professional's. Every issue I have ever had has been alleviated or fixed at this store both in person or on the phone. They have a great selection of foods and pet care needs. My first time my puppy got sick the staff helped me get her well again. I really place value on the level of help I receive here. They even have cats that you can adopt. Thank you very much.
This is store is always a great place to walk into. I have sold my hamsters here before and I knew they were going to go to good people. The staff is always very knowledgeable of the animals and accessories they carry. The staff is also always eager to help you find anything and offer information. And I've never had a problem with the temperaments of the animals because this store treats the animals with respect and doesn't ignore their needs. the cages are always clean and so is the store which is always a good thing.
It's a nice little pet store. Very friendly staff. But you're bird toys, perches etc. are outrageously priced. I just bought a rope perch which didn't have the tag as usual. I got charged 54.72 for a medium sized rope perch. I can understand if it was a huge rope but this thing is medium sized!! I mean come on, I've bought them there before but it's never been this much. I just think it's so ridiculous on how expensive some of your items are. So sorry I will never shop there again.
I called on Sunday to the Lomas and San Mateo location to see if they still had the male jacksons chameleon for sale and was told he was still available so I put him on hold. Which was fine. A nice clerk helped me pick out everything for my new chameleon (everything was about $300 before the pet itself) and when everything was rung up I was told that they made a mistake and that the Jackson's chameleon had been sold. Fine accidents happen. They said they would order a new one and would give me a call on Tuesday(today) and they would give me a discount on the chameleon for the inconvenience. Which was perfect. I get it accidents happen. What makes this whole experience terrible is that I just called the store and was told that the shipment had come in but with no chameleon. And no one reached out to me to advise me. Nor did they seem to have a plan to. I had to call them to find out everything. Their resolution instead of helping me was to send me to another petstore who may or may not honor their promised discount to me, to pay even more for the chameleon after I had just spent $300 at their location!!!! Its seriously poor customer service and I will not be recommending this business or returning here.
