I chose Bekins/ProRelo out of 4 companies interviewed because the representative did an excellent job of gaining my confidence. Most of the Bekins experience was negative. The packers did a terrible job. The rep assured me great care would be used in packing my antique clocks and antique china, both handed down through generations. Not only were these items not packed with care resulting in breakage, everything packed by Bekins, was done in a careless manner. Boxes were not labeled for contents, or labeled incorrectly. For example, the coffee maker parts were packed in 3 separate boxes and none of them were labeled kitchen. There were other problems with the move, but the careless packing and resulting breakage and damage is the reason for this poor review
Customer service skills are no good they don't do as they promise you. They don't let their workers know everything they need when they come to pack or move you. They don't do as u request. Over all this company is a total joke
I am heartbroken at the damage to my treasured belongings. I would not recommend Bekins to anyone.
ProRelo subcontracts with Manna Distribution Services for "white glove" delivery. Had to wait a week for them to deliver my bed - not a problem. It is a 3.5 hour drive from their warehouse to my home. The driver showed up and found that the warehouse forgot to load the bed into the truck. Now I have to wait another week for delivery. This is unacceptable.
Wow can't say enough wonderful things about this company! The rep Max came out--he was beyond friendly--and very patient! Shopped around for weeks, and this was the most reasonably priced and quick to respond. Had another company come out and try to charge me almost 2k more. Beacon is extremely fair. Thank you so much for taking the stress out of moving, I am so grateful!
Updated this from 1 star to 2. The following week, they delivered the bed and did an excellent job of setting it up and removing the old mattresses and packing material, while being very careful not to damage anything.
This companies receptionist is absolutely awful. She's rude and ignorant. Please find a new one.
