I never write reviews but I felt I should after my experience. It was convenient to be able to hire just the two guys to load a uhaul. Loaded a 3 bedroom house in an hour AND only used up about 3/4 of the truck. Everything is packed tight and tied down. They took extra care in handling our very valuable antique furniture as well. They asked plenty of questions to make sure we were all on the same page. The only thing is that they were about 30 minutes late but still deserve the 5 stars. They surely made this 600 mile move less stressful.

My name is Patricia Joan Joseph Kiper Orth, RN, BSN. I hired this moving service for April 12, 2016. They successfully moved almost all of my belongings. The chair, specifically designed to hold and keep SAFE my $3000.00 worth of HEIRLOOM Jewelry, and $400.00 CASH, were NOT delivered to my new apartment. I allowed two incapable bumbling K&J movers alone in my first apt for 45 minutes so that my then 18 year old son and I could sign the lease and obtain keys to our new apartment. When I returned, the "jewelry chair" was GONE. Evaporated, I do not think so. STOLEN is what I know and I filed a report that day with APD, and notified staff at K & J Moving Inc. The chair has not returned to me and NO, Mr Insurance man on the phone, I DO NOT HAVE RECEIPTS AND PHOTOS of all my jewelry, therefore, the Mandatory Renters Insurance has not provided me with one red cent, to reimburse me.The emotional toll of theft, domestic violence and a two year long divorce has nearly knocked the wind out of me. Three hospitalizations later, I am standing on my own two feet, and letting this community know how I feel about this moving service. Yes, they moved my jewelry away from me....... The K & J moving staff yelled at me and accused me of being rude, at one point, and threatened to call the police. Call the APD, little man John, at K & J Moving Inc. A lot of good that did me, and my son Quin, whom you know because we were in your office several times to calmly discuss this matter...... APD has NOT located my chair, jewelry, and cash from this theft, nor have they located the thieves from another March 2013 theft out of my home, here in the supposed Land of Enchantment- another big stash of heirloom jewelry, GONE. Hell, I have called APD twice via 911, on August 18, 2014, and again on March 6, 2015, and my second son has called 911 once, on June 11, 2014, to protect us from a violently abusive husband (which my lawyer, Mr Les Sandoval can't seem to help me get a DIVORCE from), and APD only states, ALL THREE TIMES that it is 'ok' for Mr KC Orth to do what he did. NONE OF THIS IS sitting right with me. Enough said. I will NEVER recommend this Moving Inc Company to ANY ONE> I will move my own belongings in a U-Haul to mighty Kentucky or lovely Virginia one day, mark my words. Then NM will lose one of the best Registered Nurses that I know- me.Oh, Happy Nurses Week to all the Nurses who may ever read this true story that my sons and I are enduring. It broke my the 18 year old heart that my jewelry and money could be so easily taken from his Mother. Truly, he cried with me, and Sonic drinks with Grey's Anatomy on the couch with him, is how I survived the emotional torment of yet another theft from some one in Albuquerque. Stealing is a Sin. I called to hire this company for a local move. They were due to arrive on Friday June 23. I called June 19 to confirm the time. I spoke to Kash. He confirmed the date and time. He said they have one job ahead of us and it should be around 11:00. My husband took the day off from work and was at home getting ready for them to arrive. When they finally arrived around 1:30 they took a tour of the house. My husband told Gabe that he knew they wouldn't be able to get everything in one load so if they could start taking the big stuff that we would make two trips. Gabe said that it looks like we're not ready and they were going to lunch and would come back. We waited all day and they never came back. Called Gabe multiple times and he would not answer his phone. We called K&J and spoke to Kash. He said there must have been a misunderstanding that he was told we wanted to reschedule. We said no, that is not the case. We need to get this done. Kash said he was sorry and would call us back first thing in the morning. 9:30am Sat he still hasn't called so my husband called him. Kash said that they would come by at 2:30. 3:00 came and no phone call, no nothing. We call Gabe several times, called K&J Movers several times and they would not answer their phones. We left several messages none of which have been returned to this day. I thought maybe we would hear from them the following Monday because the "boss" realized the job didn't get done but still no call. I understand if they got overbooked or if something happened that prevented them from doing the job but they didn't even have the decency to let us know or to have the nerve to call us back or answer our calls. We were left to to find a mover on Sunday at the last minute. We wanted to have our home in place during the weekend but instead we were left with these very unprofessional movers putting us in this situation Friday and Saturday waiting and trying in vain to reach them. They should consider that if they can't do a job then let us know. I hope other families that need reliable movers strongly reconsider using these guys. There is no excuse for not returning a call or saying "hey we don't want to do it." No problem. We found someone who did and they did an excellent job. I highly recommend Quality Movers if you need a reliable and professional company.
