UNMH Systems are Discriminatory against those with Medicaid,
Sure wish you guys would start using licensed journeymen and contractors. It's a shame you don't. Someday your going to get caught and loose Medicare/Medicaid funding. Imagine what a personal injury lawyer would do if he knew who actually does mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communication, and boiler installations, repair, and operation. Yes, these are journeyman classifications in the State of New Mexico. When is the last time a permit was pulled to do any work on the property?
UPDATE 10-25-2017 - No Change!
They bill for what I already paid over like 2 years ago, bill for treatment over a year ago, bill more than what I'm suppose to be charged for service. Insurance have no idea why hospital is constantly filing it wrong and told me to tell hospital that they are filing my case under wrong category (it wouldn't be covered by insurance because of this; they refuse to talk to one another but deliver message through me so that was hilarious experience).
When I talk to hospital over phone they told me that I should be paying for using their hospital building (not seeing the doctor, but for using their 'FACILITY') and that is what the charge is for, they also told me that I will be billed separately for seeing doctor. What the actual hell? Since when did doctor's visit became using hospital building for 15+min charge?
This is so great for my finance and mental health. Thank you so much guys for giving me headache every time I get on the phone with you guys. It's been great.
One word for this place is AMAZING! My husband is currently in critical condition here at UNM hospital. They have taken such good care of him and been wonderful to me as well. During this hard time they have been very informative updating me every step of the way. Some of the nurses go above and beyond to make sure my husband is comfortable and I am as well. They are always there to talk to me and are all willing to explain anything I ask. If I could give it 100 stars I would.
Worst phone customer service ever! I would warn everyone to stay away from customer service especially when it comes to billing since they constantly mess billing up.
Hospital itself is ok. Facilities are usually clean, doctors and nurses are pleasant. Fairly great apart from wait time when hospital is packed.
But...
Every time I visit my doctor(s), they get to charge me full amount.
If I could give this place no stars I would! 16 hours without an ibuprofen or a Tylenol and in SEVERE pain.my husband had gout leading to osteo necrosis and sepsis and they said nothing was wrong with him!this e.r. is full of people who hate their jobs and they reflect it on how they treat their patients.I understand that they are a busy trauma facility but they still have to treat their OTHER patients and 16 hours is NOT acceptable under any circumstances
In speaking with Risk Management, they let me know that I do not deserve the same medical treatment and care as anyone who pays for this outright OR has insurance by employment BECAUSE I have Medicaid through the Affordable Care Act I am 'Catch All'. Because of this, my life is in danger at UNMH, anyone who has Medicaid for any reason their lives are in danger at UNMH! RUN FROM UNMH, DO NOT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM UNMH!!!!!
