Had never been in the place before and as soon as I walk in for help with my bike I was treated rudely. Granted my bike was in the entrance and a girl had just walked in with her bike so I was in the way. However, that was no excuse for the man working to be rude and tell me I was in the way then proceed to grab my bike from me and take it upon himself to move it. Then the gentlemen didn't listen to me when I was going to explain what service I needed. Instead he took it upon himself to tell me what was wrong with my bike even though there wasn't just a brake adjuster issue. Even his coworker working the register was in awe at how the man was speaking to me, This rudeness was enough for me to walk out and not go any further with their help. It's a shame that one guy ruined my first experience here and that I couldn't give them business. I'm sure not all of the worker there are like this but this was extremely bad customer service and has officially stained my view on the shop.
My initial review was a three I believe. Coop was right next to my house and I always wanted to like it for convenience. The first time I went in was for new a tube(s) and it was installed fine, though took a few days. The next couple of times they forgot to call me for basic things like installing new rims. When you're a bike commuter it's not okay. A couple years ago, I went to have my brakes tightened: Took several days and it was not done when I picked it up. When I returned to have it tightened, the tech was a little rude, telling me essentially that it wasn't their fault and it was hard. So, I waited and watched him and made sure it was actually tightened before I left. The last time I went was to true my rim that had bent. After standing around the store for a while waiting for help (not the first time), I was told it would take a couple of days because they were busy. No problem, but then it took a week, and again no one called. Not long after the true the rim bent again and caused a crash. I won't accuse anyone of not tightening it properly or not telling me to replace it if it should have been, but at the very least, I will not return to wait another week to have a single rim trued. I think that generally, the people there are nice, but the quality of service hasn't been good.
Very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Hard working team!
Nicest bike shop in town. Helpful, friendly, honest and really down to Earth are some of the things that describe the lovely people who work here. Every time I have gone, they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I cannot thank this place enough for their time and generosity.
P.s., if you constantly feel you're encountering bad customer service everywhere you go, reevaluate what you're doing as a customer.
Been there a dozen times over the years, quality products, great service when a product they sell doesn't live up to expectations and awesome service. Just had a new casette, two front chain rings, new derailleur, got rims trued and other things I'm sure I've forgotten. Took less than a week for this overhaul, great communication throughout the entire process regarding components and pricing. Will continue shopping here until I encounter one of the problems mentioned in other posts, which have not been a problem for me.
