Great staff! Dr. Erasmus is a wonderful surgeon!
Excellent work on my back surgery. Perfect alignment. I've got my life back!
Dr. Erasmus was 45 minutes late to my appointment. He didn't apologize for being late. Didn't introduce himself (I was a new client), is unfriendly, did not explain anything to me, and spent maybe 15 minutes speaking with me. I would not recommend seeing him. His bedside manners are horrible. I went to him as a last resort for my back pain and was told that he could provide me with pain medication (which I am allergic to). I left feeling defeated!! On the other hand the staff was very friendly.
MY appointment was in the morning but I can certainly understand offices like this getting behind later in the day, you dont know what will come up. Just plan for it and take a book or whatever.
I was referred to Dr Erasmus by my PCP. When I called, I had an appointment within a week. I arrived 20 minutes earlier than they told me to and even at that, I was out within an hour. His staff was very nice, office and medical. Dr. Erasmus came in and explained my x-rays to me, what my condition was , possible treatments,,and future considerations. He answered my questions, all of this in terms my non neuro surgeon mind could comprehend. He was very nice and professional. I would totally recommend him to friends. I needed no surgery at this point, but should I in the future, I would not hesitate to go to Dr. Erasmus.
All I can say is WOW...what a terrible experience. The man may be brilliant and he may be a great surgeon, but he is a horrible practitioner and has THE worst bedside manners I've ever encountered. Dealing with his staff is a comedy of errors. Records repeatedly lost, not received, not sent to the referring doctor, etc. The lack of communication is astounding, and the lack of caring nothing short of horrid. The one and only positive four star review must have been posted by a close relative of the doctor/staff, or a shill. I don't need warm fuzzies from a surgeon, but I do expect to be treated like a human being. After waiting more than two full hours, I was talked down to for two minutes and he quickly left the room. Not even a "hello" or "goodbye", and no useful information whatsoever to take away. I don't think the man even looked at my records, much less at me.
