Dr. Susan Robets ruined my experience here. She was unorganized, rude, and was not at all concerned with what I viewed to be a crisis at that time in my life. I had to wait over a week and make repeated calls to get lab results, and on top of that was misdiagnosed by her making my suffering at that time last longer than it needed to. Every staff member I've encountered has been short, annoyed, and very unconcerned with me and other patients i saw checking in, does it hurt that bad to smile and be polite? Dr. Stichen (check spelling there) is the only reason I go here. Normally waiting 20 minutes on hold every time I call would make me go elsewhere, but Stichen is a great doctor.
Apparently, ABQ Health partners is struggling to make ends meet. I received a bill (first bill ever for this charge) in December for $20. The charge was supposedly from a visit I made in September of 2010! There were no details or a breakdown, other than my insurance had paid all but $20, and therefore I owed this amount. I'm assuming this would've been my co-pay, since thIs is my normal co-pay amount. I ALWAYS paid my co-pay at every visit. Not sure what's going on.
Let me back up just a bit..
I stopped using ABQ Health Partners in 2011, because they were by far, the most unprofessional healthcare provider I have ever experienced. Ridiculous long wait times, surly receptionists, generally rude staff people, and lousy results from the doctors. When I found a new doctor elsewhere, 2 formal requests were submitted to have my records transferred. ABQ Health Partners has ignored the requests to this day.
Dr.Susan Roberts has been a God Send to me after being a patient of Dr Houle,who retired in June. She is personable and professional! Thank you Tramway Clinic for making my transition easy.
I really liked this clinic and everyone was very nice. Dotty Steinhof was amazing.
Back to now. I just recently received this $20 bill for a charge that is over 6 years old. I called the ABQ HP billing department and got nowhere. Today, I get a nasty letter from a collection agency for $20. I paid it. But I'm so NOT impressed with this 2-bit joke called ABQ Health Partners. ABQ Health Partners. YOU ARE PATHETIC! Enjoy your 20 bucks. You'll never get another dime from me or anyone in my family.
I've been with ABQHP for three years. In that time, I've gone mostly to Journal Center. The receptionists have been extremely good and kind. The wait times are non-existent. The nurses and other personnel have been wonderful. Dr. Russo, my doctor, has been just great. However, because everyone at JC was SO nice and kind, it didn't dawn on me until recently that the patient care is not good at all. ABQHP wants to spend as little as possible on a patient. So I am in the process of transferring to UNMH, where I've found the health care to be A (yes, it's not perfect, and yes, there are long wait times, but the medical care is the best in NM). In the interim, I had to go ABQHP FM at Encantado. The staff was rushed, and the receptionists were RUDE. The DO (not an MD, which was fine with me) I saw was far more interested in impressing me with her knowledge of medicine than listening to me. And again, she was far more interested in protecting ABQHP pocket book that she was in taking care of me. I'm done. And just for the record, if you have lung problems, DO NOT GO to Pulmonary at ABQHP! Find someplace else!
