The carpet was not clean, seemed sticky so I wore flip flops. The tub had no stopper, the TP and towel racks were falling out of the wall, the bedspread was stained, the chair was disgusting, and the remote didn't work. The aforementioned desk clerk brought in 5 remotes, and finally got the TV working.
Yup, BEDBUGS! Room 331. When we discovered them (around midnight), we captured one and presented it to the front desk. Both clerks stated that in 10 and 17 years respectively, they had "never heard of bedbugs in this hotel"....and..."How embarrassing, oh my"! I didn't buy it at the time and this is obviously UNTRUE if you look at other reviews here. We were refunded (or at least they said we were, I haven't seen it post yet). Hope the aforementioned bedbug makes a great pet. He looked well fed and spry upon capture....DISGUSTO BEWARE!!!!
Update. The management has offered a full refund. Very decent of them. Thank you!
ALSO: The clerk (I believe she is actually the manager) had a line when we arrived...and I probably heard her say "There's nothing I can do" about 10 times while talking to customers and juggling phone calls. So rude I actually considered I might be on a reality show for a moment...You really can't make up stuff like this...she was borderline yelling at perfect strangers (customers). It was one of the strangest, most uncomfortable displays of poor customer service I've ever seen...and then the bedbugs happened (yay)...I travel a lot...glad this place isn't the norm when it comes to hotel experiences.
BEDBUGS. ROOM 231. I am covered with bites. I should have read the reviews before booking. Air conditioner clanged, toilet seat fell off, coffee pot missing parts, I slept 4 hours, found blood spots on my sheets, found stains on the mattress cover. Left at 5 am. DO NOT STAY HERE.
While checking my bank balance I found they had entered my payment twice. This created a problem so the next morning I tried, emphasis TRIED, to talk to the manager about it. She would not allow me to complete a sentence because she knew all about my problem, though she said there's nothing I can do about it! Let it suffice to say her understanding of banking and the reality of banking have never met. I spent nearly 45 minutes on the phone talking to the bank, transferring funds, etc. to cover this error. Then when the authorization finally fell off, transferring the funds back. Clearly this woman has no business being the face of this business, although given the overall condition of the place I could be mistaken, the place is cheap and rundown. Management doesn't give a rat's a$$ about the guests, and honestly unless you can't afford better, stay elsewhere. I certainly will.
The manager Tinker was very accommodating to our needs. We were In the middle of a move across the country when we encountered an unexpected delay. She allowed us an area to park our 2 rental moving trucks and ensured we had a room that allowed us to overlook them for peace of mind. Just what we needed during a trip filled with challenges, especially seeing we slept, or tried to sleep, in a rest area the night before.
I booked online for a 5 day stay. Nothing of note here. I arrived and the desk clerk apparently was learning how to check guests in and the manager helped him. First off I was told the back card key entrance didn't work, but the door didn't latch either so that was a moot point. Easy in and out no card required.
I stayed in room 301. Had several issues. One of the lights by the TV was not working. The room is on the 3rd floor and it took about 3-4 minutes for the shower to have hot water. The mattress is a king; half of the mattress was super firm and nice while the other was completely worn out and I felt like I was going to roll off of it. There is only one entrance to the hotel, through the front desk area. Although there are other doors, they are exit only doors, which is a bit annoying. The breakfast was ok, nothing special; tea, coffee, orange juice, muffins, toast, cereal, yogurt. I would not stay here again.
