Mr.Law is very skilled, worked fast (same day or second day), and repaired two pairs of my leather shoes very well - great craftsmanship, reasonable price ($12 to repair leathers and $15 for heels). Highly recommend. He is also very honest and polite - I brought three pair of shoes for repair and asked him if it is worth of it to repair all. He honestly told me the materials of each and said it is up to how much I like the shoes.
I brought Mr. Martinez a very expensive fine Italian leather handbag to modify the height by shortening it 1". He phoned me to discuss his concerns with me before proceeding with the job. The results were beyond my expectations. Mr. Martinez's skills and abilities are unbelievable, a master cobbler in my book!
I've spent some time considering how to describe what's going on here. Despite wonderful reviews IN THE PAST, nowadays other customers are disgruntled and complaining each time I have visited. I think the owner is having a hard time keeping up with the work. Maybe he is tired out and deserving of a nice retirement.
I brought sandals to fix. The basic problem was fixed. However, unlike other repair shops, there was no "finish" to the job - a clean-up, polish or buff, simple things that others do to make your shoes look pretty new.
Excellent customer service and FAST! I had a terrible experience with my now ex-cobbler in Rio Rancho with a 2-3 month wait for routine repairs and rude, condescending service. I walked into Nob Hill Shoe Repair and was greeted by nice, personable staff. I walked out with my shoes repaired, done right on the same day. As a matter of fact just minutes later. Thank you so much NHSR!
