I travel from Santa Fe to take my house rabbits to see Dr. Levenson. He's the best rabbit savvy vet in the entire state! Very experienced with rabbits, he explains everything well, works with you on affordable treatment options & is the only vet I know of in NM who is competent to carry out dental surgery on rabbits (eg removing maloccluded incisors, molars when indicated). Highest recommendation for Dr. Levenson and his friendly vet techs and staff.
They are all so loving, caring, knowledgeable and good hearted.

Dr. Habrun was very knowledgeable and compassionate in treating my veiled chameleon. Good reptile vets are few and far between, and I was relieved to finally find one in Albuquerque. The rest of the staff was very friendly. I won't be taking my reptiles anywhere else!
Southwest is the only place I will ever take my fur babies to. The entire staff, doctors, techs, receptionists, even Jill the office manager have gone above and beyond for my 1 year old dog child. They've saved her more than once and in turn have saved me as well.
This is the best veterinarian we've ever had. They diagnosed our dog with diabetes when our old vet had been treating her for incontinence for over a year & then couldn't see her for 3 days when we thought she had a UTI. That was over 5 years ago. They have guided us through every medical issue since then with great professionalism & caring. Honey, a chow/golden mix will be 15 in December & still taking her daily walks because of the care from these highly trained professionals.
I work at a pet store and this is the only place we trust with our animals. Super knowledgeable and cheap too!
