Best veterinarians around. Clean facility. Dr. Holland has been so caring to my dogs over the years.

I have had almost perfect service at this animal hospital. I've been taking my 3 kittens to Dr. Grey since July. I have never had a problem with the vet techs or my vet. they are all super friendly. Whenever I call and ask for advice and ask for the vet to call me back they always respond quickly. They accept my boyfriend taking my kittens in and they always call me to tell me how the appointment went if I wasn't able to be there due to work constraints. My only complaint is one of the receptionists. I won't mention any names but this particular receptionist has terrible customer service/phone skills. When I first brought Keiko in, she acted like she didn't know how to step up his chart. She needs to learn some respect and remember that we are pet parents. these are our babies and if there's something wrong with our fur babies then were going to be worried and scared. Sometimes its not just the pets that need condolence.

We had our cat for 17 years. Acequia Animal Hospital is personally responsible for the last three years of her life. They made her golden years happy and comfortable and we are so thankful for that. I'd had that cat since I was in kindergarten. With their help, she saw me through college. When we told them our cat died last month, they cried along with us. I love these guys. I just adopted a one year old kitty and I'll be making her first appointment at Acequia soon!

My husband and I have been loyal clients of Acequia Animal Hospital for almost a decade. I've trusted Acequia over the years, even though they are on the pricey side, because I felt the vets there truly cared about the well-being of my animals, and that to me is priceless. My dogs have been treated by every vet that works there and I've never had a problem with any of them. Even the staff was always friendly and helpful; up until the last two years. Around that time, the current receptionist Janice, was hired, and has single-handedly ruined the top-notch experience I used to get at Acequia. Our first concerning encounter with her was the first time we met her. When my husband picked up one of our dogs after a surgery that removed a potentially cancerous mammary gland tumor, an upsetting circumstance for us, Janice was extremely rude to him because our dog, who was most likely in extreme pain, tried biting one of the vet techs when they picked her up. She then sarcastically joked about my husband being "feisty" when I brought my dog in for the follow-up visit, which I did not appreciate. We let this inappropriate behavior slide at the time because we had been loyal clients for such a long time and the vets had been good to us and our dogs, so we figured maybe it was an isolated incident. This past week, our second encounter with Janice occurred. I brought one of our dogs in to Acequia two weeks ago for a routine visit. Our dog was fine when we brought her in, and after almost $500 later for blood work and routine vaccines, she was fine when we left. When our dog became extremely ill this week, we became worried. I called Acequia to see if they could recommend something for us over the phone, to save a trip and money since we had just been there. Janice answered the phone. I could tell she was busy because she tried to rush me off the phone once I told her I didn't want an appointment, just a recommendation from the vet. She gave me HER advice on what to do and ended the call. I let my husband know this, and being more assertive than me, he called them and spoke with a vet tech who gave different instructions than the receptionist. He was understandably upset and requested a call back from the vet as soon as possible. Instead, he received a call back from Janice 3 hours later, a messenger for the vet, stating the vet would not fulfill such a request from him and would not be returning his call. At this point, we decided we've had enough and we are done supporting them with our business. It's extremely disappointing that after a decade of loyalty, and thousands of dollars later, we were treated with such disrespect. We've advised those we know who support this establishment of our experience, and found that many have had similar experiences and vowed not to go back either. If you want the best care possible for your pets along with exceptional customer service, I strongly suggest you do not support this business either. The only reason I gave this review two stars is because I enjoyed going there for at least 7 years before they quickly went downhill.

I have been a loyal customer of this vet for 10 years. They are expensive but had good service (originally). I used to get after-care calls directly from the vet. Over the past two years they have employed people that could care less about me or my two dogs whose care I have entrusted with them. My final recent visit I paid over 500 dollars for vaccines and blood work. Shortly after bringing my dog home, she became very ill. My wife called to talk to the Vet, Holly. Instead she was rudely instructed by a receptionist named Janice to try collecting a urine sample. I found it unacceptable that we could not talk directly to our vet. I called back and talked to a vet tech who gave me different instructions. I sternly told the tech I wanted to talk directly with Holly and asked for a call back. I was told the doctor would call me back shortly. Three hours later, Janice the receptionist called me back to tell me the doctor would not talk to me over the phone and hung up on me. Ten years and more than likely 10,000 plus dollars were spent with them. I referred countless friends and family to this vet. I feel terrible for my dog and for the people I sent their way. They made my dog sick and they could care less. Please avoid them; they are expensive and have terrible customer service, and when they make a mistake they will ignore you so they can be rid of you. Shame on this vet clinic. Because of neglect, I now have to pay far more money to help my dog at a different vet.
