About a week after candy passed, we received a condolence card in the mail from them. We have had to put a few dogs downs and I know a card is a typical thing to get, HOWEVER this card was different. It was a personal card that had a lot of thought put into it. Made all of us cry.
They have wonderful customer service, as well as a clean facility. They are about a 40 minute drive from my house, but after this experience I will never go anywhere else. (The vet we have gone to for over 20 years wouldn't even help us that night)
They were very passionate over the phone, and told us to come in right away. (Our dog of 16 years had a stroke and could no longer move on her own).
We had her cremated, I went and picked up my candy tonight and when I brought her home we found a gift in the bag. They made an impression of her paw print. Sweetest thing ever!
update- 4-15-17 i just received a gorgeous sympathy card with hand written sentiments on it from the staff at Route 66, I am absolutely touched by their kindness and sympathy during this time. The professionalism, and obvious adoration of animals and their people is so beautiful and amazing. As i said above- i will never go to another vet again as long as this company (or i) exist. Tell your friends and family to take their fur babies here. You will not be disappointed.
I came in here on Friday/ Saturday morning at 1am to save my hamster Mooshka after an accident. He was too hurt and put down but the woman Vet and the Vet Tech were absolutely amazing. They were kind and helped me put him down. The even teared up. This was my first visit here, I was sent here due to this emergency. This is my new clinic for all pets, future pets, and the rest of their existence or mine. Thank you so much.
The first time I visited this place was for an emergency with my dog. She ended up passing away but the people who helped us that night were very warm and welcoming. They were sincere and informative. They allowed us alone time with our dog after she had passed on. We decided to cremate her and the employees were kind enough to send a condolence card
I called around to different vets, and everyone either had extremely long waits, wanted me to just drop my dog off or were closed. I just happened to stumble across this place.
I took my sweet pitbull Daizy girl in late tonight. The tech and vet were wonderful and treated her right when we walked through the door. They explained the course of treatment and gave us the military discount (always grateful to receive that). Going to an emergency vet is always nerve wracking they made us feel comfortable and we're so thankful for them!
Thank you to all the staff. Your customer service and compassion made this awful situation a little better.
We took our dog in to this vet late on a Sunday night after noticing she was lethargic, wetting herself every couple minutes and was having trouble standing up. The vet asked us if we had marajuana in the house, and after we said no, she insisted the dog was high, and the only treatment she wanted to pursue was giving our dog a drug test, even after we told her she did not have any access to marajuana. Additionally, the vet took an accusatory tone with us, and did not show any concern or care for our dog. However, the techs we spoke with were much more caring and compassionate towards us and the dog.
They greeted us and realized it was urgent and they took her straight back. There are signs posted stating you have to pay for the evaluation before being seen, but they never once pressured us into doing so. They took us in a room by ourselves while they evaluated her.
We knew the outcome wasn't going to be good for our sweet candy. The employees were so compassionate through the entire thing. The vet came in and explained everything we needed to know in full detail. We knew it was best to put candy down because she was suffering at this point. They had a lady staying by candys side the whole time, petting her and making sure she was as comfortable as she could be.
