Stop here first to get info about the available trails but no petroglyphs here! You must drive to one of three trails in the vicinity to see them. Friendly service from park rangers, you can watch the informative video and buy books & souvenirs.
Visited this place around 2 pm. They have three short, very short, hikes. And some longer biking trails. The short hikes were a lot of fun. We played "where's Waldo" trying to find petroglyphs etched on the rocks. It is too bad that some hooligans have etched their names and initials in places. I supposed that some of the petroglyphs are probably the same kind of thing... But some obviously have meaning. This was a very special place. The views were amazing. The geology alone is worth looking at if you are interested in it. And if you are an artist, it is a very inspirational place. At least it was for me.
Very nice people. Beautiful park. Well worth seeing. If you like hiking this is a must visit.
You can't actually see any petroglyphs from the visitor center, but they will steer you in the right direction! Staff is friendly.
Bring ypur hiking boots and see the greatness.
