Beautiful new arena. But, it will always be The Pit!
This is an awesome Arena to see basketball games. Built partially underground, the acoustics make for loud games when the crowd gets into it. Be sure to check out Snake, superfan who sits courtside in section Y.
An important note about seating- the rows are inverse of the typical arena, so row 1 is the first row at the top of the venue, the furthest from the court. If your seats are closer to the court, be prepared to go up and down pretty steep stairs.
It's always fun at the pit. Very lively during games. Lots of places to roam and enjoy some food.
The UNM football stadium is a great place to enjoy hanging out with friends and watching good old-fashioned football game!
We've had men's basketball season tickets for about seven years and have seen The Pit undergo many changes. However, many things are consistent, like concessions are super expensive, parking is frustrating due to payment structure, but the bathrooms are clean and nice. The audio system is terrible and has been for a long time. Sometimes videos are shown and you cannot even understand what's being said. On the up side the staff is always friendly and helpful. There is also a Lobo gear store at the venue.
