A friend of mine took me her and it was soooooo delicious!!! The servings are big and the atmosphere is excellent. The employees were very friendly and attentive too!
Sauce is not fresh. There is too much cheese. Crust is too thick. Leaves a detergent taste in the mouth. Counter serve is not ok.
Fantastic panini, pizza, and minestrone. A great wine and beer selection and friendly service. Great for a quick, casual bite, though be prepared to wait for a spot to sit at lunch.
To say Il Vicino has the best pizza in town would be similar to saying that my grandmother's cookies are the best in the world. It's such a common dish, often done right, and overall quite satisfying, regardless of interpretation. No, Il Vicinos does not possess the greatest pie in history, but it does do something better than most other places that serve the dish do. Il Vicino falls right on the convergence point of value, taste, and atmosphere. In fact, Il Vicinos may even find itself in the cautionary crossroads of market confusion. At first glance, this restaurant gave me the impression my wallet would be at risk upon entering the posh and prim storefront. Once I picked up the menu, my outlook immediately changed. Once it was all said and done, I ended up building my own pizza (full circle pie, by the way) for less than 13 bucks, and with two beers, a total of 22 dollars. To say I was surprised is an understatement. The pizza came out fast, and me and my girlfriend were 100% full and satisfied. My only complaint is that the coasters are not double-sided...
there's a difference between locations. The cooks at the central location know their stuff. I will drive past their other locations to go to this one, ESPECIALLY for pasta. If you want alfredo this is far and away the best in town.
