I have sadly had a horrible experience with this office. My Father passed away in July, 2015. A Report of Finding was issued with incorrect dates - the date of death was incorrect as was the date of incident. The Report apparently cannot be fixed or corrected even thought the mistake appears to be a typo. This Report is keeping me from settleing my Father's estate. It has been OVER 6 months sine the original report was generated and the OMI was notified of the mistakes. I have made countless phone calls, spoken to the investigater, records departments and several administrators and even sent a copy back to them via fax of the mistakes - NO CORRECTED REPORT OF FINDINGS...I would rate them less than one star if it were allowed. This is clearly not a situation I would wish upon any one else. The OMI is the worst run and most heartless state office in NM. They are forcing citizens to not only deal with the death of a loved one but are forcing the families to suffer undue hardship due to thier negligence, mistakes and inability to function.
