VERY POOR PREPARATION IN RESPONSE TO RESENT STORM IN ALBUQUERQUE. UNIVERSITY BLVD MESA DEL SOL AREA IN THE PAST HAD ALWAYS BEEN TREATED AND CONDITIONED FROM STORMS FAR WORSE THAN THIS ONE AND YET NOT ONLY THAT AREA BUT MOST OF ALBUQUERQUE ROADS WERE LEFT UNTREATED WHILE THE TRUCKS USED TO MAINTAIN AND TREAT ROADS WERE TIED UP IN GRIDLOCK ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER MORNING COMMUTERS. OUR TAX PAYER DOLLARS ARE USED TO PAY FOR THESE SERVICES SO SEEING THAT VERY LITTLE AT BEST WAS DONE PUTTING COUNTLESS COMMUTERS AT RISK..... DO I ALONG WITH THE REST OF BERNALILLO COUNTY TAX PAYERS GET A REFUND?

ART will fail and is a very disturbing project that the majority did not want. APD has been long over due for an investigation from the Department of Justice and it is sad that none of the leadership in New Mexico could get this department straitened out. Everyone knows how bad they are and from the sounds of it many officers have moved to Rio Rancho. Heads up Department of Justice. Message to Tim Keller. Crime is an issue due to a failing social system. I recommend meeting with educated individual's on social issues that consume our cities and why. Be pro active not reactive. Being reactive never works and cost significantly more than being proactive. Why spend the extra dollars to get tough on crime when we can come up with new ideas to invest in at risk members of our community and provide opportunity. We will get better results being proactive and when we do we won't need more police, higher wages, and a larger budget for corrections. Invest in your community by investing in the people who need to be integrated. No matter how many police officers you put on the street you will never get a handle on crime and the price tag will become higher than initial estimates and we will end up in this cycle we have been in for decades. Crime is always followed by economic down turn and crack downs on drugs and get tough on crime attitudes. It always gets worse and we have seen this historically. Please consult experts on this for better ideas for Albuquerque.
