Jewelry By Maurice was recommended to me by a family friend who said that it was a trustworthy, locally owned business. My husband and I went to Jewelry by Maurice for our wedding rings. I paid for an appraisal for my engagement ring in July and it's now October and I still haven't recieved the appraisal, despite reminding him to send it several times. We ordered and paid for our wedding rings 6 weeks in advance and he told us we would get them in 2. This included a custom ring to fit my engagement ring. After about 4 weeks, he still hadn't returned my grandmother's ring (my engagement ring) and we had to harass him to get it back. He completed the custom ring, but not to our specifications. We continued to call and check on my husband's band (a plain 14k gold stock ring) and Maurice never returned our phone calls. We went by several times the week before the wedding and the shop was closed. Needless to say, we had to buy another ring for my husband for the wedding. It has now been 3 weeks since our wedding and we still have not gotten an answer from Maurice.
Maurice NEVER gets anything back to you on time! Try calling him....you can't even leave a message because his mailbox is full and apparently he doesn't know how to clear it. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
