She told me that this would look better on new than the blond. She even thought that the highlights were to light so she added brown toner so they wouldn't be to light. When she saw how unhappy I was. She offered to fix my hair in a week. (I didn't want to damage my hair too badly so I went back a week later)
Heard about your response. Let me explain, I've always loved the salon and been happy with my stylists; however, your current receptionist is not only incompetent but rude. How about an apology and a little respect from the employee who is the face of your salon? After all, she alone ruined my experience! Maybe there needs to be better interpersonal training: seriously, how hard can it be?
I will say that my highlights were very nice highlights, but that is not what I asked for.
When she"fixed" my hair she just lightend my highlights. I still did not have blond hair.
I asked for blond hair. I was a natural blond as a kid, but I had not died my hair for many years and my hair is now naturally brown. She said that she was going to give me highlights. I thought great blond hair with blond highlights. What I ended up with was brown hair and lighter brown highlights.
This business is absolutely fantastic! The staff there are always super friendly and easy to talk to. I've only had the pleasure of working with Emily on my services but she is great! She was super easy to talk to and knew what I wanted. Not only did she understand my weird way of describing what I wanted but she executed it flawlessly! She's funny, cool and incredibly talented. I will continue to seek services from her at Uniquely Elegant!
After a bad experience with another salon, I walked in to Uniquely Elegant wanting a miracle. Lucky for me Veronica does miracles. Extremely satisfied. I have found my "home" salon.
Incompetent and Rude!!!!!!!!!! I used to love getting my hair done at Unique; unfortunately, the turn over rate is really high and my daughter and I have had to switch stylists a few times. Hum. I have always been pleased with the results of my hair, but have yet to schedule an appointment that's error free. To top it off, the current receptionist, despite her mistake, is smug and rude. She may not value my time, but I do.
I went here a few years ago after we moved to the area. It was by far the very worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon. They did not listen to what I wanted. She did what she thought would look better.
I now have blond hair and I think it looks great. But I didn't get it from this salon.
While she was fixing my hair, another woman came in and asked for bangs. The other hair dresser there, told the woman that they would not look good on her and told her she would do something else. Clearly the stylist there know what's best for their customers. Even if the customers don't agree with them.
The salon itself is very nice (elegant, to be sure!), always clean, quiet and the other employees and stylists are very nice.
Every time I go to Uniquely Elegant, I always feel like I'm the stylist's number one priority. Emily does such a wonderful job and gives me exactly what I want every time. She takes the time to understand what I want and makes sure I leave happy every time. (If I could leave a review for JUST Emily, I'd give her five stars! Highly recommended!)
