I recently went to look at a 1300cc Stateline. While talking to the salesman (Andy) I noticed a 1700cc Nomad. The Nomad was lower miles and lower price while in my opinion a better bike. I bought it and frankly was the most enjoyable vehicle purchase I have ever done. Kristen the sales manger was pleasant and fun during the signing. They even kept my Honda shadow on site while I tried to work a title issue. All in all if your looking for a great deal with great service this is the place!
Just in basic maintenance items alone, I've probably spent a few hundred dollars at this service department, and they've always been great. I've also had some work done by their mechanics, and I'm extremely satisfied with it. They also have some excellent sales guys on staff that will chat with you as long as you'd like, show you around, get to know what kind of bikes you're interested in, etc, but never seem pushy or frustrated when you say you're just looking. They usually have a pretty neat selection of used motorcycles as well.
They tried to sell me things my bike didn't need. They are dishonest and liars.
I brought my F650 in to R&S West not too long ago to have tires and tubes changed. Good, quick service (thanks Ian). However, not more than a couple days later, I was riding through five lanes of I-10 traffic when my rear tire blew out. Upon removal of the tube I found that it had been folded over upon installation causing stress and the subsequent blow-out. I know that these things happen and that we take higher risks as motorcycle riders, but what should have been an easy job and subsequently an easy fix with the customer (I asked for the reimbursement of tire and tow truck), the service department failed miserably. They did not take ownership of the mistake which was without question theirs and theirs alone. Chances are, if you take your bike here they will do a good job. If they don't though, don't expect anything out of them.
Don't waste your money . The service department sucks! I brought my R1 in for a tire and they told me I needed two TIRES, BRAKES, a battery, and fork seals.
I needed a front tire for my motorcycle they were very helpful and did the tire change in a timely manner.
I have never been more lied too by a mechanic.
