99 bahn was much better store.
I'm ranking it fairly in this ABQ area. It is one of the two biggest ones in town. I come here most often than Talin market.
I hate to give 1 stars, but this place is not for the westerners, as you inter this store first thing I've noticed is its just dirty, whole place is dirty, I grabbed shopping cart and I realized every carts are dirty. I mean it's just filthy and I was looking for sanitized paper to wipe a way germs, they to offer one. as you shop isle to isle or look inside chest freezers, products are unorganized and it's more for Vietnamese people. It looks a lot of items are several years old( freezer burned)
Better selection of tofu than any place I've found in 4 states. The meat scares me, but the veggies last and are a great deal. Great selection of Chinese food. Don't expect to find anything other than Chinese though, the Indian, Viet and Korean sections are a joke. I don't think I saw a single actual Indian brand in that isle, it's all Chinese approximations of Indian food.
As a asian , every month i go to 999 supermarket near by Gibson . Yesterday I go with my son and my mother in law . While i was looking what i need for today meal , my mother in law was with my son looking around by aisle . My son was started to getting fussy because it his nap time . While that happened , unfortunately a thief came by near my son stroller and grab my mother in law handbag . We only realized that the handbag missing when we bout to checkout . According to my mother in law , she never leave the stroller other than she takeout the carseat and make the carseat look forward so my son can look around . Long story short , i able to recover her purse that had car key , iphone 7plus , some business card and stuffs but then her wallet missing . Thank to Find Iphone app , i able to track her phone and found the handbag in one the aisle on bottom shelf hiding behind the box that she walked by with my son when she changed the carseat position . She loss 2 id , 2 social security number, 2 cheque book , 3/4 credit card and debit card , 400 dollar cash and some gift card worth about 100-200 dollar . We so upset with what happened but we more upset about how people in there ( staff who worked there including manager ) who so heartless and not helping at all , Not even concerned to asked what going on or what can they do to help ! Side note , when we walked in there , there not alot of customer , only employees who stocking the shelf . And i personally remember how many peoples around us ! I had very strong feeling that it one of the employees but i just not going to throw dirt on anybody face without a prove . The manager of the store wont let us see the CCTV and dodge our question around . It so frustrated when they pretend they cant speak english ! As one of asian , i feel so horrible with what happened . I am thankful that my mother in law and my son was safe and sound but the service we got is totally worthless and heartless , That it ! They even know me as one of their regular customer but sorry not sorry , This is the last time i going there ! No more . whoever that steal it , enjoy your early christmas present . I believe what go around will come around . Happy Thanksgiving guys !
Adding one more 9 just didn't worked out for these forks.
If you have been to any oriental market this doesn't stand out too much. Its grimy and looks like a storage facility but if you need cheep food, durian fruits, or raw peanuts by the pound you are in luck. I actually really like this place. Definitely needs a good scrub.
