This is one of those places where you're probably not gonna get your mind blown, but if you know exactly what to expect, you'll never be let down. The food is good, the prices are decent. It's a little cramped, and a lot of the wait staff isn't exactly friendly. But as far as the Central and Coors area, this place is iconic, and it hasn't seemed to change over the course of my life. Great steak fingers, obviously. Don't expect fine dining. Expect really quintessential New Mexican food and garish art on the walls. And wait staff who have probably been working there for their whole lives, who won't brook any nonsense.

I love this restaurant. I've been visiting this place for decades. The food is amazing, prices are fair and service is great every single time. I wish I could rate them more stars because they are great. It has a fun, vintage, route 66 vibe and not because they're trying but because they're genuinely old school. Try the huevos rancheros.
Great chili. Red or green or my favorite Christmas. Good sopas and ambience. Try the Steak n the rough dinner w/ fries and guacamole salad.

Have been going to MACS since the '60s.
It's a funky looking place I always drove past. We stopped in for dinner and were happy to find It's equally as funky on the inside. It's modestly priced, nothing fancy with a variety of menu items. It's the perfect place for comfort food to cure a hangover! I like the hamburger steak with grilled red onions, baked potato and brown gravy (skip the canned veggies!) and rolls. The enchiladas are good too! The staff is really nice too!
