I feel Century 14 downtown has a warm & inviting environment. Even as a multiplex, it's not hectic & its prices are reasonable, especially $5.00 tickets for seniors. I appreciate that it has open seating, and has not switched to reserved seating as other theaters have. It also offers short runs of independent & foreign films.
Great place for a walking 'dinner and a movie' night from the restaurants in the area. Service has been wonderful, even if some of the fixtures are a little worn. Fantastic events and special screenings are held here, too.
Parking was easy and free downtown which was nice. The theater was clean and sound was good. I would like it if they actually had ushers that would check for people on their phones during the movies. The last 3 movies I have been to had people texting or on the phone in some compassaty- the screens are extremely distracting when in a dark theater.
I give it 4 stars because concession is so expensive! But that's everywhere even at the Movies 8. Tuesday movies are $4.75 all day. I discovered that I can lie down on the seats and watch which is great as I'm in so much pain, I can't be upright. There's a wheelchair accessible bathroom, and front door has an ADA button. Very nice theater.
Love this theater. Great military discount and service is always great. Classic cinema experience.
