I've had jobs where I made a lot of money, where the company looked out for me, or where I liked my coworkers. I've also had jobs where I haven't liked the work, my coworkers were unpleasant, or I wasn't valued. Self Serve is the most supportive environment I've ever worked in. My coworkers are amazing and go out of their way to make my work easier and better for me. I need to work other jobs because, sadly, we don't generate enough income to make this my only work, but it's worth it to me. So worth it.
Self Serve is and continues to be an invaluable resource for sex positivity and supplies, for me and anyone I have previously referred. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and non-judgmental. The premises are inviting and cozy. It is my top recommendation for quality products and a welcoming environment where you can learn new things and ask questions as well as shop. I am happy this store exists.
Self Serve is my favorite place! As someone who doesn't participate is much sex, Self Serve feels like a safe place where I can get what I need without being judged or questioned for my lack of participation/activity. I also really love browsing online because their range of products are just amazing and I trust that anything I purchase from there will be well worth the investment. I can't even begin to thank this store and it's staff enough for the all educational materials, trainings, events, and more that they offer (both in person and online)! I am certainly biased since I work here but I think my perspective is unique because of that. It's true that we who work at Self Serve try to make it welcoming, comfortable, shame-free, educational, reputable, fun, and a whole host of other worthwhile adjectives.
