I've been wanting to go to this place since it opened, but it's always been so busy. We walked in and it was standing only at 9:30 and tables didn't clear out until close to midnight right before they closed. At first, I was a little bummed by having to stand up, but as the night progressed, it didn't matter. The musicians are amazingly talented. You don't have a ton of drunk, out of hand people that you have everywhere else in Albuquerque, and the wait staff were friendly and kept busy all night. Even when you're standing, you have a place to put your drinks and lean. If you want your song played, pick a good one and throw down a good tip to ensure it gets played. Not only do the musicians deserve it, but they get a lot of requests and they choose the highest bidder. Drinks are fairly priced. Overall, one of the best nights I ever had! Will definitely be back.

Service was fast for how packed it was. Pianist were arrogant and made it clear they would only play songs if you throw down a $20 bill for them. After giving them 37$ we were told to shut the f up and give him another $20 (to a female) if she wanted to be sang to for her birthday. After how pricey the drinks are I don't care to give you $50.00 for a song!!! Guy is lucky that the men around us did not hear him say that to us ladies. Won't be back because of that.

If you are looking for a nightlife venue that is different from the typical bar scene, look no further than Uptown Funk! It's a great place for some great entertainment with a lot of adult humor, perfect for a date night, chilling with friends or a celebration of a special event. At present, there was no cover charge during a weeknight (my visits have always occurred during a weeknight) and usually no reservation is required UNLESS you have a big party or possibly during the weekend when the venue is busier. The piano players alternate so you never see the same act twice, unless perhaps you are a regular. This venue is somewhat hidden (in a square next to the Japanese Kitchen). There are daily drink specials and you are more than welcome to bring in food from one of the surrounding restaurants. (Uptown Funk does partner with Ruth's Chris Steak House, you can call and place your order and they will deliver the food to you) This venue is something that Albuquerque has always needed, and it's definitely worth a visit!

Great place for Friday night fun! Very entertaining! Drinks are pricey! Get there during happy hour to reserve a good seats and table. However doesn't start til 8pm. If you are hungry go to Jason's Deli and Uptown Funk will let you bring the food in. Enjoy!

Bartenders, drinks and all staff on fleek!
