I read the reviews before going and they were spot on about how bad the service was. The sunset view was great but by nights end that was forgotten because of the poor service. I was genuinely surprised due to the not so large terrace size and the higher price of drinks. Drink selection was good but drinks were eventually cancelled because they took too long. There is an apparent fault in communication somewhere. Nice terrace though.
Friend's birthday, and we had issues getting drinks and closing tab. Small group, but was treated mediocre. Biggest complaint was that I had to pull someone aside to give the birthday person a special drink and pay for it, when originally we got a flat out "no" without an option to purchase(just wanted her to feel special). We don't expect free, but do expect being treated with respect.
So long story short is getting long, here is where I leave out insignificant details.
Food is overpriced and the service was abominable. Paid $12 for a pretty fantastic drink but had to put up with listening to staff gossiping less than 5 feet away from where we were sitting as we were trying to enjoy our mediocre food and fancy drinks. From reading the other reviews, it appears poor food & service is a standard. Might head back at some point for drinks but not sure.

Final words, meticulous planning does not apply at Apothecary Lounge. Dominique is great at communicating while planning your party, and unreachable if anything goes wrong- like if they forget to reserve it. The view was amazing, but not worth the hassle. If you must go, don't go in a group. The crowd is mixed in age, pleasant atmosphere. I thank God for the waitress & her critical thinking skills!
Long story short... I contacted Dominique, who is in charge of handling large party reservations. I reserved an area on the rooftop for 15 guest, a month in advance. I told Dominique, that I had read hundreds of reviews praising the gorgeous view of Albuquerque & that was my primary reason for going. I wanted to surprise a special someone with the view.
Thankfully a waitress over heard and closed off a spot for us, she told us to just wait for the people currently occupying the area to leave. So about an hour & a half later, we headed out to enjoy the view.
We arrived and nothing was reserved for us, quite the opposite. We were told to go find a table, the rooftop was full. My party begin arriving, and stood around. It was ackward to say the least.
