Great school. Teacher to student ratio is great.
We feel very lucky to found the International School at Mesa del Sol. Our daughter is in the first grade there. Everyone at the school is so dedicated to making sure that the students learn. Music, Art, PE and Spanish are all parts of the curriculum. You really can't do much better -- and it is free.
The International School at Mesa del Sol is wonderful. Smaller classes allow for a comfortable atmosphere for kids. The teachers are able to adjust the curriculum as needed to fit each childs needs. School work is fun and they learn so much that they are unable to in the public school system. Music, library, art, foreign language, and PE are offered on a regular basis. Staff is dedicated and caring. Each school will have benefits and drawbacks....no place is perfect! But, our family has been very happy there. Its great that its not in the public school system with all the curriculum and testing drama. We had enough of that. The only thing i would wish for is a cooler environment with more shade, grass, and trees for the kids, but they are working on that. The school has so much potential.
She always happy in the morning to start her day at TISNM. This is tell me that teachers really doing great job with kids.
The school has been good, but planning and organization could use some improvements. I have sat in my car for hours every week waiting in the bus to drop my child off. I have also seen the bus leave immediately after dropping the kids off when I recall seeing a form that said the bus would wait ten minutes. Just dont over promise and under deliver.
For her Spanish is 3rd Language. And she is doing great with Spanish at TISNM. When she comes home she is singing in Spanish & English. It's very impressing to me.
My daughter in Kindergarten right now. She is in small class (14 kids I think) so they get a lot of attention form the teacher.
