This was a cool little hike. I will be going back. Just be careful for snakes. And thorns. And also wasps. And cacti. And jagged rocks. Actually, just be careful in general, day-to-day life.

One of my favorite trails in the foothills. Running up the dam is a great workout.

Beautiful place but don't leave anything important in your car. There was a break in while I was there. Someone smashed a window and stole belongings of the hikers.

We had a nice hike. The trails are rolling, not much flat walking here.

I've lived in the metro area my whole life and I only recently heard of Embudo Canyon. It is an incredible place with a very diverse landscape. So many different trails. When I went it was a pretty busy afternoon but it didn't seem crowded at all. I love the diversity of the plant life and how the landscape is constantly changing with the elevation. I went in the late afternoon and I think that is the perfect time, especially to take some photos.
