We were a couple parked in the parking lot starring at the sunset after having a terrible day; we figured why not park at a church since we are christians? But we were sadly approached by a African American elderly couple, who pulled up like they wanted to rob or had bad intentions, rolled down the windows, and said, "UM, HELLO?", the grumpy old man sad. Then the woman said, "THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY CAN YOU LEAVE?" Of course my boyfriend and I apologized and had no remorse not to leave. But how can you treat anyone like that? This church doesn't set a good example, nor a God example. God doesn't speak to people that way and I really hope they don't preach nor own the church they were EXTREMELY HATEFUL. Praying for you 'baptists' JESUS IS THE LORD.
I have not yet visited this church but hope to do so when I go to Albuquerque. The comment from Mir Whatsittoya is very sad - I have been reading some very negative things about race relations in Albuquerque. Two young black policeman publicized the racist treatment they receive, so I am not surprised that black people feel defensive. I love Albuquerque and hope to move there. I am black and I hope that I will not have any negative experiences.
I LOVE my new Church Family #MUCHLOVEALWAYS
Great place Great lessons Great people gather together in praise of THE MOST HIGH
