Good for an easy fast lunch, or a pastry and coffee. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Panera is just awesome... good food... great service! But there are issues -- they've lost sight of what and why you go there. Not long ago each meal came with a complimentary cookie (and yes they're good!) and a baguette or other bread selection (consistent with their name). Now... everything is "additional." Gone are the days of bread included with your salad or soup... it's now $1 extra. Want that complimentary cookie?... fork over another dollar. All told... it's near $13 for a manager's "Pick Two" special with a drink. That's not really so special, is it?

Came in to have a bite to eat and get some studying done and it was great. My cashier, Valerie, was super cheery and gave me great recommendations. She's a great employee and asset to Panera's team. Great food and atmosphere!
This Panera location is right across the street from University of New Mexico and right off of Central Avenue. This street, known as Route 66, tends to collect all sorts of people. The restrooms in Panera are locked by a combination lock, the employees view most customers with suspicion, and there's a good chance you'll be accosted by homeless folks as soon as you step outside the door. The food is okay, but the experience wasn't that great. If you can get to another Panera location, go there before you experience this one.
